Nuclear Races is the UK’s most award winning obstacle course brand, we’ve been hosting events since 2010 and currently have about 20.000 corporate participants (which happen all year round) and 17,000 fun runners enter into our 3 main events of the year.
45+ man made obstacles :climb, crawl and conquer – we have them all. Navigate through our famous ebenezer mud pit and other natural surprises on the privately owned farmland.Nuclear Races for the past decade have been championing better mental health through outdoor activities for all, no matter your age or fitness levels.Run it, walk it, storm it, your race, your pace.

Can’t make race day? Nuclear Wild Forest is open all year around and can host bespoke events on the obstacle course. From children’s parties, school trips, corporate and fundraising events to weekly fitness classes.
Also on site we have Nuclear High Ropes, Essex’s biggest high ropes course, featuring 6 courses across 3 levels with over 40 metres of zipwires, 70 aerial obstacles & more.Next door is the Secret Nuclear Bunker, the biggest and deepest cold war bunker open to the public in the south east of England. Your visit can also include a historical digital wand tour of the 1950’s built underground Secret Nuclear Bunker designed for up to 600 military and civilian personnel to organise the survival of the population in the awful aftermath of a nuclear war.

Trademark obstacles include 20’ free-fall Deathslide, 15 lane Zip-wire into water, 120 metre permanent steel Gorilla Bars & 4 storey deep underground Secret Nuclear Bunker & there are hundreds more to fall in love with!

We also offer Rookie Races for children from 4-14yrs and a fully adjudicated competitive Challenge Cup Race for athletes who want to win prizes & recognition. Nuclear events are designed to challenge all abilities, ages & levels of fitness. We encourage everyone to take their race at their pace – walk it, run it, you don’t need to be a super-hero to take part & there’s no pressure to succeed. Any kind of fitness will help you get the most out of your Nuclear obstacle experience. If you’re in it to win it at November’s Challenge Race you’ll need to be both very fit & very fast.
