Nuffield Health Brentwood Hospital has established itself as one of the leading not-for-profit providers of private healthcare, looking after people for more than 60 years from Brentwood, Billericay, Basildon, Romford and the surrounding parts of Essex. Today, we continue to put people before profit, working in partnership with the NHS to benefit the community as a whole. We put customers at the heart of everything that we do.
With excellent patient satisfaction rates, we are proud of our reputation for clinical excellence and outstanding care. Many of the most experienced, skilled consultants and healthcare professionals in the region choose to practice at our hospital.
Because we have no shareholders, as we are a trading charity, we invest all our profits back into improving the health and wellbeing services we offer. Instead, our focus is on the patients we treat – putting their wellbeing first in everything we do.
Our modern Brentwood hospital specialises in orthopaedics including hips, knees, spinal and upper/lower limbs, ear, nose and throat, general surgery including endoscopy and weight loss, men’s and women’s health, children’s services and cosmetic surgery. However, we offer a wealth of exceptional clinical services for both patients who have private medical insurance and the self-pay market.
Our Nuffield Health Brentwood Hospital is open, and your safety is our number one priority. From diagnostics, to treatment and recovery, we can help.
We’re offering telephone and online consultations, as well as face-to-face appointments from home or in person, you’ll be in safe hands with high-quality, award-winning healthcare with quick access to experts you can trust.
We offer flexible ways for you to pay, either pay for yourself, personal medical loans or with private insurance.
We are proud to lead the way for quality in the independent hospital sector, as rated by the Care Quality Commission (CQC).
Building a healthier nation
Nuffield Health is the UK’s largest healthcare charity. Driven by our purpose to build a healthier nation, our experts have been working together for more than 60 years to make the nation fitter, healthier, happier and stronger.
We achieve this through our industry-leading network of hospitals, fitness and wellbeing centres, medical centres and workplace wellbeing facilities. We believe that the best healthcare should help prevent illness by looking after mind and body. Our connected wellbeing offering spans physical and mental health – from personal training, health assessments, GP services and physiotherapy to providing mental health support or hospital treatments for serious conditions.
What makes us different is that every penny we make goes back into delivering our purpose, whether that’s our day-to-day services or our flagship programmes designed to address public health needs such as our COVID-19 Rehabilitation Programme. A first of its kind in the UK, it has been developed in collaboration with the NHS and industry experts to tackle the challenge of long COVID. Currently running in 48 of our 114 fitness and wellbeing centres, this free 12-233k programme is tailored to the individual’s needs and offers a blend of physical and emotional support delivered face to face and virtually. It incorporates our unique ability to provide a joined-up approach to healthcare, utilising a network of physiotherapists, fitness professionals and emotional wellbeing therapists.
